PHAROAH CHARLES POWELL is a prolific filmmaker and author hailing from Oakland, CA. Taking an interest in film in 2005, Pharoah began collaborating with local filmmakers, culminating in his premiere film Basketball 360 (2018). Following the national release of Basketball 360, Pharoah wrote, directed, and produced Fear and Love, and The Leather Coat, both slated for national release in late 2021. A keeper of the culture, Pharoah continues to highlight, create space, and carve new avenues for Black people in America and abroad through his art. His premiere novel, Inner City Gothic: Vampire in Oakland Chronicles Volume 1, is available for purchase now. The accompanying film of the same name is set for release in early 2022.
